The Sanctuary Lakes Netball Club was formed in 2009 by local residents to foster community spirit and to encourage children to get active, have fun, and be part of a team.
In our very first season, we fielded one team of Under 13 girls with just eight players. Today, we are proud to have:
22 teams playing on Saturday afternoons
2 teams competing on Thursday nights (15/U mixed)
3 teams playing on Tuesday nights at Altona
As of 1 September 2025, more than 250 players proudly represent our club.
We are extremely proud of what we have achieved through the dedication of our players, families, and volunteers. Sanctuary Lakes Netball is a family-oriented club, committed to supporting all players in their personal and sporting goals.
Running a successful club of this size does, however, involve significant costs. Our major expenses include:
Hiring training venues
Ensuring all coaches are registered with Netball Victoria
Providing opportunities for coach training and development
Supplying our 22 teams with safe and appropriate training equipment
The club is funded solely through fundraising and the generosity of local businesses. For this reason, we are now reaching out to invite you to become a valued sponsor of our club. In return, we are committed to supporting and promoting your business within our community.
Importantly, we offer exclusive sponsorship in each business category, ensuring your company will be the only one of its kind sponsoring Sanctuary Lakes Netball Association.
We understand that many businesses are often approached by sporting clubs, particularly football, cricket, and soccer. However, as a netball club, we find sponsorship opportunities more limited, which is why your support would make such a meaningful difference to us.
