MONDAY NIGHT AND WYNDHAM SAT MORNING TEAMS - 2017
The club currently fields two 15U teams and one 21U team on a Monday night at Altona. We also have an 11U and 15U team that plays at Wyndham on a Saturday morning.
The new season for these competitions will begin Jan/Feb next year and we are now taking expressions of interest from any players who would like to play. Monday night teams do not train. For Wyndham teams, it would be up to each team if they would like to train, however training is not compulsory.
We can field additional teams in both competitions, this will be dependent on having enough players interested AND having enough volunteer coaches.
If you are interested in playing or coaching please email headcoach@sanctuarylakesnetball.com with details of the competition you are interested in. Any queries regarding the competitions can also be emailed through.
Please note that by registering for one of these teams you are committing to the entire season including finals. It is unfair on coaches and other players when team members pull out during a season.
Current players would have received a message asking if you are playing next season. Please respond to this if you haven’t already done so.

GRAND FINAL WRAP UP
What a big day it was for all our teams playing in grand finals.
Congratulations to all 4 teams and their coaches in representing the club with wonderful sportsmanship. We finished the day with 1 premiership and 3 runners up trophies.
We now have a new premiership team in the 11/3 Rubies. At the end of the games the scores where level so they had to play an extra 2 quarters of 3 minutes each. At the end of the 2nd quarter the rubies were up by 2 goals and won their very 1st premiership together. Congratulations Sarah and the rubies team and well done to everyone getting behind them in the overtime is was very nerve wrecking for everyone.
11/1 Diamonds played Newport Phoenix and had a very hard game but did not give up even winning the last quarter to show they kept going until the final siren. It was the 1st grand final for this team and to finish with a runners up trophy showed what a great season they had.
13/1 Orioles went into the grand final undefeated for the season however this game was always going to be difficult and very physical. A number of players had a few bruiser but the team continued to play clean netball which we are very proud of. To finish the season with a runners up trophy to add to their collection of trophies is a wonderful achievement. The OriolesIn 4 seasons have now played in 4 grand finals (2 premierships and 2 runners up).
15/1 Panthers had a wonderful season in a very strong division 1 competition. Although the panthers didn't win the premiership the girls played hard and did not give up. To walk away with a runners up trophy in this very strong competition is a great achievement and one which all the girls should be proud of.
We are also very excited to announce some individual awards that were handed out on grand final day. These award were voted on by the umpires each week after the game.
Congratulations to the following players.
11/3 Gems:- Natalie Ierodiaconou (Runners Up)
11/1 Diamonds - Tahana Aitu (Best & Fairest)
13/2 Pearls - Charley Muscat (Runners Up)
13/2 Orioles - Connor Lilly (Best & Fairest)

15/2 - Leopards - Jekaya Lam (Best & Fairest)
Thank you to Amberly and Bridie for scoring in all 4 games today it was really appreciated by the parents / players / coaches to have you both there.
Sanctuary Lakes has the best supporters with all courts full of blue and pink it was so exciting to see and we thank you all full the wonderful support you gave the teams while they were playing.
