SATURDAY 10TH OF FEBRUARY
ALTONA NETBALL STADIUM
FROM 12:15PM - 4PM

If you are a current SLNA player wanting to play in the Winter Season at Altona on a Saturday Afternoon (term2 & 3) you need to confirm your spot.

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required before we can place you in a team.

If you do not register on or before this date you will be placed on the bottom of our waitlist.

The deposit of $50 can be paid by clicking on to the link below or by paying on the day 12.15pm -4pm.

***We recommend you use the link below to pay online, it's the same way you did your VNA memberships. It is very important that you note we will only be open on registration day until 4pm.**

**If you are not returning next season please email altona_teams@sanctuarylakesnetball.com as soon as possible so we can take you off our list.**

Any issues or requests need to be in writing to Tracy at altona_teams@sanctuarylakesnetball.com as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE that any request cannot be guaranteed.

2018 VNA MEMBERSHIP

In order to participate in a Netball Victoria Competition and/or development courses, you must be a member of Netball Victoria.

Senior $73.00 Players, Umpires and Coaches born on or before 31/12/2000– (18 & over)

Junior $53.00 Players, Umpires and Coaches born between 01/01/2001 – 31/12/2011 – (6 – 17 years)

It is important to note that a player must have a current membership before she/he takes the court, so you must make sure you pay before your first match.

You will be considered a current Netball Victoria member, as soon as you, your club or Association update and pay for your registration on the MyNetball database. When you complete your membership online you will receive an email confirmation. Please keep a copy of this confirmation until your membership card arrives in the mail.

2017/18 SUMMER SEASON DEPOSIT @ ALTONA

All current SLNA players wishing to play in the Summer Season at Altona need to pay a deposit of $50 to confirm their spot in a team.

The deposit must be received on or before the 29th of July to confirm your spot.  If we do not receive it on time you will be placed on our wait list.

Payment can be done on registration day the 29th of July at Altona in the function room near court 1 or via your mynetball account by clicking onto the buttom below.

If you are wanting to pay into the account you need to use the above link first as it has all our new bank details.

If you are not returning next season can you please advise us immediately via registrations@sanctuarylakesnetball.com so that we can remove you from our list.

I'M TOPS AWARDS WEEK 2

The Brook “I’m Tops” Round 2 Award Winners

Please see below our award winners for Round 2. Well done to you all!

Bluebirds – Milena Teklemichael

Milena is flexible on court and never complains when she has to change positions. She plays confidently and always does her best. Milena shot 7 goals in last week’s game.

Jewels – Ella Greaves

Ella worked hard at training and took it head on when she was put in a position she wasn’t used to. Ella was also always asking questions and cheering her team mates on.

Lynx – Alex Morey

For always participating enthusiastically and playing very well during the game on Saturday

Gems – Olivia Hansen

Olivia is new to the team. Olivia performed well at training including others and her movement in the mid court was inclusive of her team mates. Olivia is a great team player

Ravens – Brigette Rosato

Brigette played the game with great spirit and never stopped working for the team in defence. At training she had good energy and worked well with the team.

Crystals – Madeline Lewis

Madeline continued to work hard on presenting a front option in a tough game this week. I could see her working hard on moving her feet to get around her player.

Meerkats – Ellie Lopez

For being a great leader by controlling the game and slowing it down when the team was going to fast!

Blackbirds – Caitlin Evans

For her constant movement down the court and chasing up balls!

Eagles – Poppy McAteer

Poppy listened intently and worked very hard at training learning new strategies, which she then implemented during Saturday’s game. Poppy’s effort on court was outstanding.

Phoenix – Laura Navarro

Implementing what was learnt at training into her game.

Diamonds – Ellie Ierodiaconou

Ellie has a very positive attitude and is always supporting and encouraging her team mates. Also offering to fill in for our 15/3 Seahawks shows great commitment to our club.

Wildcats – Briana Lang

Briana is growing in confidence this season. She takes on coaches instructions during the game and applies them well. Her timing has improved and she is running nice front moves and angles in attack.

Orioles – Chantelle Auld

Chantelle had an excellent training session encouraging and communicating with other team mates. She showed great courage and restraint in her game against a tough opponent which is a huge improvement. Great work Channy, we are proud of you!

Seahawks – Liliana Mill

For her focus and dedication at training & complete accuracy during the game shooting 20 over goals in 2 quarters!

Emeralds – Montana Dumesny

Montana always has a smile and her outstanding commitment to training and a wonderful goal shooting performance for the team.

Sapphires – Georgia Wedding

For putting in 100% effort into training and game day!

Panthers – Rianne Grant

Rianne is working very hard at training and is trying really hard come game day. In both games this season Rianne has shown courage and determination in the WD position. Great effort Rianne

Leopards – Georgia Banks

Georgia was thrown in the deep end this week being switched from defence to goals. She helped improve our flow & access to the circle and always presented an option.

"I'm Tops" Awards - WEEK 1

We are pleased to announce that one of our new sponsors “The Brook – Point Cook” has supported us by giving us “I’m Tops” vouchers to be awarded by the coaches each week to Saturday teams. To try and share these equally, we will be awarding this to all Saturday afternoon teams at Altona and 9/U teams at Wyndham.


The vouchers will entitle the winner to a free kid’s meal at The Brook and will be awarded throughout the first part of the season. The awards commenced this week for Altona and will kick off for 9/U Wyndham teams at the start of next season.

Please support “The Brook” by dropping into the Food Room for a meal or visit the newly renovated Coffee Room.

Bluebirds – Louisa Talone

It was Louisa’s first ever game on Saturday and she did research and practiced at home. Louisa had a great game and this is an example of how doing a little extra can make a positive difference on game day.

Jewels – Charley Ojeda

Charley worked really hard at training, played a great game Saturday and was very encouraging towards her team mates.

Lynx – Jennifer Bukyx

Jen had a fantastic training session and implemented what she learnt at training to game day.

Gems – Emma Chitty

Emma provided guidance and support to a new player at training and put in an outstanding effort on game day.

Diamonds – Aaliyah Coppins

Aaliyah is new to the team, trained hard, followed instructions and implemented them on game day.

Phoenix – Stacey Mohi

Stacey shot well and was happy to be moved from attack into defence.

Eagles – Montaya Sardi

Montaya demonstrated outstanding leadership to the Eagles during the game on Saturday.

Ravens – Zara Stefanovski

Zara showed outstanding energy throughout the game and never stopped with her defensive efforts.

Meerkats – Jade Chitty

For being a strong leader when playing in attack!

Blackbirds – Emelia Te Paa

Emelia has never played GA before and did an excellent job with her movement, coming out in front, getting possession of the ball and rebounding.

Crystals – Ellie Harris

Kept her eyes on the ball which resulted in numerous intercepts!

Wildcats – Caitlyn Sneyders

Caitlyn ran transition out of defence well and was always presenting as an option.

Orioles – Madelyne Shaw

Madelyn was named co-captain at training and is already leading by example. She had an excellent training session being a rock in defence which really came through in her game.

Seahawks – Taylor Barrett

Taylor is new to the club and has an awesome attitude. She demonstrated outstanding efforts at training and during game the game.

Emeralds – Erin O’Connell

Worked hard on defensive pressure, footwork and rebounding and moving the ball up the court.

Sapphires – Halle Barrow

Being a positive role model and supporting new team mates.

Panthers – Amber Kelly

Was ill during the week but still came to training. On game day Amber lead the team and was supportive of her team members.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM WITH THE BROOK AND GEELONG FOOTBALL CLUB

It is with much pleasure & excitement that we can announce that SLNA has been successful in obtaining a $5000 grant from The Brook Point Cook and Geelong Football Club as part of their Community Partnership Program.

With this money, we are planning on providing skills and leadership clinics for our players run with the Collingwood Magpies Netball players in the near future.

Stay tuned for more on that later! We are thrilled to have received this grant and wish to thank The Brook Point Cook & Geelong Cats for this opportunity.

Please make sure you thank Amberly Morison for all her hard work with the paperwork and also to Louise Wedding and Nicole Lilly who accompanied Amberly to the function last night.  Thank you ladies.
