Our final award tonight is our Senior Club Award In 2009 Sharon Rankin decided to start up a new club called Sanctuary Lakes Netball Club. It was with only 1 team.

In 2010 she had a couple more teams come in with the support of the local community. However, Sharon ran the club on her own until 2013 when she decided she needed the help of a committee as the club was getting too big with roughly 16 teams.

Along with running the club, Sharon coached 2 teams, organised uniforms, was the treasurer and the registrar for the first 3 ½ years.

In 2014 the committee decided to recognise Sharon for her commitment, dedication and the very long hours that she put into establishing our club with a trophy in her name.

In 2014 Sharon was awarded the inaugural award and in 2016 Taylah Hunter-Gerber received it.

From 2018 the committee decided to call the award the Senior Club Award which is for members 18 years and above.

Past Winners of this award:- Sharon Rankin, Taylah Hunter-Gerber, Lauren Tidmas, Tania Newcombe, Tracy Hunter-Gerber, Teoni Milner and last year's winner Nicole Philpin.

The person who is receiving the award tonight has been involved with our club since 2013 (11 years). Firstly as a parent then a team manager, committee member, uniforms coordinator and treasurer.

During her 9 years on the committee, she has been a wonderful support to all members of the club. Always providing great thoughts and reasonings, especially when it came down to team selections and areas of development.

I am so very grateful for everything she has done for our club over many years and are very happy to announce that our 2024 Senior Club Award Recipient is:-
